Read a review about Kangazang, as featured on Amazon:

'This barmily brilliant audio adventure featuring the vocal talents of Sixth Doctor Who Colin Baker is somewhat like a cross between Douglas Adams' Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy and one of the more surreal Doctor Who serials from the late 1970s.

Baker narrates the tale of everyman Jeff Spooner and his cosmic capers as he gets caught-up in the strange life of seemingly ordinary barber Ray and his spaceship made of hair cuttings. This is just the tip of a crazy iceberg, and Baker is clearly having a whale of a time with Terry Cooper's bonkers script.'

Today we unveil details of our Kangazang! Christmas giveaway.

All purchasers who buy the CD or book will get a Mike Collins Sixth Doctor print free. The print depicts Colin as he bounces on a Space Hopper across a colourful alien landscape.

Mike Collins is famous for his artwork on Spider-Man, Transformers, Doctor Who, and Zoids. He also drew Judge Dredd, as well as Batman, Superman, Flash, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Wonder Woman and the Justice League.

Mike will take part in the first Cardiff International Comics Expo in February – where a special panel will be dedicated to all things Kangazang! Mike said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the Kangazang! audiobook and was more than happy to contribute artwork to celebrate Colin Baker's perfect narration of the wonderfully weird world of Kangazang!”

Kangazang! was produced in the same building where the Doctor Who episode, Blink was filmed, as well as the Torchwood episode, Everything Changes.

Kangazang! is available as a special edition 3 CD Disc release plus bonus DVD available to buy online. The DVD contains a wealth of extras. In an exclusive interview, Colin discusses his time on Doctor Who, his love of sci-fi, and, of course, Kangazang!

Hubbub team member Terry Cooper has just landed the role as Baker Street super sleuth Sherlock Homes in a forthcoming audio drama by Misfits Audio.

Terry is excited about playing the eponymous detective: "I've loved Sherlock Holmes ever since I was a teenager. He's one of those timeless characters that everyone loves. He's enigmatic, intelligent and witty. I think most actors would relish the chance to play him."

With a renewed interest in the character thanks to the recent movie starring Robert Downey Jnr and the BBC series featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, the adventures of Holmes and Watson are finding a newer, younger audience.

"I think it's great that they've updated Sherlock for modern times," says Terry. "It just shows what a great character he is - whatever time or situation you place him in, he just gets on with the job of solving crimes in his inimitable way.'

These new audio dramas will be written by Alexa Chipman and based on the Orson Welles radio plays. Alexa has updated the 1939 script to modern times using contemporary language and settings. It will be released for the 2011 Summer Season of Sonic Society.

Terry is an author, illustrator and actor. His most recent project - Kangazang! - is available to buy from

KANGAZANG! r e m o t e p o s s i b i l i t i e s

The Final Frontier.

(Well, not unless you count time, alternate dimensions, thought travel and a myriad of other ethereal media through which one can safely travel without being atomically shredded, crushed, fiddled with or recombobulated into a sixty-five foot long bratwurst. Trust me - it's happened before.)

This is the blog of KANGAZANG - the universe-spanning saga of one man's travels to the furthest reaches of the galaxy and beyond. A quest to find truth, meaning, love, justice... And a decent pint and a kebab.

There will be books to document the saga:

  • KANGAZANG! remote possibilities - First instalment and introduction to our heroes.
  • KANGAZANG! star stuff - Second part, chronicling the deeper implications.
  • KANGAZANG! [as yet untitled] - Third (and possibly final) part. Who knows?
Stay tuned to this blog as we divulge impotent information about the book/audiobook/movie/facebook group/twitterfeed/national craze that's taking the Geekiverse by storm!
